Ahmed Twaij
Co-founder
Ahmed Twaij is a multimedia journalist and director based in London but has spent significant time based out of the Middle East, Iraq in particular.
He is manager of the social media online visual magazine EverydayIraq. He developed the Media Strategy for the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office.
He has worked in written, audio and visual journalism, published in The Independent, Guardian, New York Times, Vice and many more. Ahmed has also been nominated for multiple international awards including for music videos he has directed.
Aws Haidari
Co-founder
Aws Haidari (Iraqi American) is an award winning producer based in Washington, D.C. He has more than 12 years of multimedia journalism experience, working for Al Jazeera English, Breakthrough Media, Zinc Media, TRT World and Keo Films (for the BBC and PBS). Aws spent three years in Iraq leading a multimedia communications project, called For a New Iraq. His latest project was the BBC’s Once Upon a Time in Iraq docuseries, where he was the Iraq producer. Aws has won two Webby awards while working at Al Jazeera English.
